Coker, Alma Kesterson, age 79 of Strawberry Plains, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2009 at St Mary's Medical Center. She was a member of Westbourne Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Ora Kesterson; brothers, Jim and Alvin Kesterson. Survivors: husband of 51 years, Marlin Coker; children, Lisa Coker, Marlin Coker Jr. and Mitzi Burns; sisters, Ruth Stittums, Judy Bolton and Joyce Futrell; brother, John Kesterson; grandsons, Sam and Hayden Burns. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Monday in the chapel of Bridges Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Snow officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 A.M. Tuesday at Thorn Grove Cemetery for the interment at 11:00 A.M. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 Monday at Bridges Funeral Home 5430 Rutledge Pike 523-4999.
