George Muse, Jr. , 84, of Millers Creek, died Friday March 29, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital after a brief illness. He was born July 21, 1928 in Pasquotank County to George and Lillie Mae Caddy Muse. He work as a farmer and was well known for his good nature, his baseball cap, his love for people, and his little cigars. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter Debbie Long.
Survivors include: his wife, Rosa L. Peffer Muse of the home, a daughter, Pamela Carlton and husband Henry of North Wilkesboro, two sons, George W. Muse and wife, Iva Grace and Phillip Dwayne Muse and wife ,Tracy all of North Wilkesboro, five grandchildren and four great- grand children.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Adams Funeral Home of Wilkes Chapel with the Rev. David Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at Mountlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 o'clock until 12:45 prior to the service in the chapel.
