Stella Barbara (Bogden) Dupuis, 93, of Great Falls, died of natural causes Thursday, March 28, at a local nursing home.
Stella was born in Great Falls on Nov. 29, 1919. She grew up and was educated here. She was not afraid of hard work and helped with the family dairy till it was time for her to move on. She worked for, and eventually married, Henry. They were married 53 years. They owned several businesses in Great Falls including, The Lobby Bar and Jockey Club, The Koffee Cup, Hank's Hamburger Inn (now Tracy's), Motel Checker and The Edelweiss Motor Inn. At the time of her death, she and her son owned and operated The Viking Shop.
Stella worked till the day she broke her hip at age 90. She returned to her home in the care of her son for the past three years. Those years, though interesting, were a gift to both of them. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph's Parish, tireless worker for the Central Catholic High School while her children were there and has been at Holy Spirit Parish the last 25 years.
Survivors are two daughters, a son six grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
