Hamlin, Tx. - Bernice G. Moore, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2012 in Austin. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Hamlin Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Monday at the home of Dwight Griggs located at 444 NW Ave. A, Hamlin, Texas. Online condolences may be made at adamsfosterrayfh.com.

Bernice was born to Michael and Mary (Tarra) Bogden at Great Falls, Missouri. She attended Hardin Simmons University. Bernice married Fred B. Moore February 16, 1944 at Billings, Montana. She was the owner and CEO of Pied Piper Mills and Moore Elevator for forty-four years. Bernice was a member of the First Baptist Church and enjoyed ballroom dancing. She is preceded in death by her husband (1964), daughter (Jeanette Moore), and son (Barry Moore).

Bernice is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Marcia Moore and David and Julie Moore all of Hamlin; one daughter and son-in-law, Patrice and Dwight Griggs of Austin; ten grandchildren, Hayley Richey, Fred Barry Moore, Lauren Caldwell, Miranda Moore, Meredith Moore, Courtney Bell, Derek Moore, Damon Moore, Jon David Moore and Emilee Moore; twelve great-grandchildren; a sister, Stella Dupuis; a daughter-in-law, Carol Ratliff; and a special caregiver, Tomaleata Brown.
