Edith ALDERSON, 88, of Darrouzett, died November 29, 1998 at Newman Memorial Hospital in Shattuck, Oklahoma.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 1, at First United Methodist Church in Darrouzett, with Rev. Scott Richards officiating. Burial was in DeBolt Cemetery in Arnett, Oklahoma, under the direction of Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Booker.
She was born December 23, 1909 on a farm south of Arnett, OK. She attended Arnett schools, graduating in 1928. She married George C. TRUITT on October 31, 1931, and they lived in the Bishop community. He died in 1957. She later married James E. ALDERSON on May 20, 1960 in Woodward, and they lived on a farm southwest of Arnett. Following his death in 1970, she moved to Arnett, until moving to Darrouzett in 1993.
She attended First United Methodist Church in Darrouzett.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Richard TRUITT; a granddaughter, Janet FLOWERS; and two sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Anita SCHOENHALS of Shattuck, Oklahoma and Georgia YAUCK of Darrouzett; one sister, Alice PRATT of Borger; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
