She graduated from Seaman High School (Topeka) in May 1981, where she was a member of the Spot Lighters Club. A member of Rolling Hills Christian Church, she sang in the youth choir and played on the volleyball team. She died suddenly in Topeka, Kansas, on June 2, 1981, due to a congenital heart defect.
