Avis Lee Goodman of Chula died Sunday, June 25, 2006. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2006, at Macedonia Baptist Church in Chula. Rev. Gay and Rev. Gibbs, Sr. will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mr. Goodman was born on February 2, 1919 in Waterloo and was the son of Wright Goodman and Nellie Sumner Goodman, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. He was a retired farmer and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Chula.
