Agnes G. Ingraham, 95, of Glenville, NY, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at her home. Born on December 23, 1914 in Jersey Shore, PA, she was the daughter of the late Otto Gnau and Reba Smith Gnau. Agnes was raised and educated in Jersey Shore, PA, where she lived until moving to Albany in 1936. In 1940, she moved to Scotia until moving to Glenville where she lived most of her life. Agnes was a charter member of the Designer Craft Council of the Schenectady Museum. She was a jeweler and enamellist, and previously taught enameling. As a hobby and trade, she designed and created reproductions of porcelain dolls of which a collection has been placed in the Schenectady Museum. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert W. Ingraham, whom she married in 1940. He passed away in 1995. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Carey and her husband, Walter of Fairfield, CT. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place at Jersey Shore Cemetery in Jersey Shore, PA. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Community Hospice of Schenectady, 1411 Union St., Schenectady, NY 12308.
