NORMAN ORTH

Norman Orth, 72, of 625 St. Paul St., Kiel, died Saturday morning at Theda Clark Hospital, Neenah, where he had been a patient three days.

He was born June 25, 1909, in Two Rivers, a son of the late Edward and Minnie Lindeneau Orth. He attended school in Manitowoc. On May 3, 1930 he and Edna Christel of Valders were married at St. Mary Catholic Church, Brillion. They made their home in Manitowoc until 1933, when they moved to Kiel, where Mr. Orth worked for H. G. Weber Co. for 32 years retiring in 1974. He was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel and its Holy Name Society. He formerly belonged to the Kiel Fire Department. Mr. Orth was a former alderman on the Kiel City Council.

Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Earl (Janet) Stecker and Mrs. David (Kathryn) Bunge, both of Kiel, and Mrs. Gerald (Mary Ann) DeChant, Milwaukee; two sons, Gale and Charles both of Kiel; 19 grandchildren; three brothers, Walter of Brillion, George and Herbert, both of Manitowoc, one sister, Mrs. Marie Aarhus of Virginia; four step brothers, Ralph Orth of New Holstein, John Orth, Clifford Orth and Francis Orth, all of Manitowoc; and two stepsisters, Mrs. Rita Seidl and Mrs. Marion Skarvan, both of Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by three stepbrothers.

Funeral Mass will be at St. Peter and Paul Church, Kiel with the Rev. Francis Kerscher, pastor, celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
