He was born February 22, 1921 in Manitowoc, son of the late Edward & Elizabeth Kaiser Orth.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Merchant Marines serving as the Chief Cook.
On September 30, 1942 he married Audrey Burns at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Askeaton, WI.
Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Audrey of Chilton; one daughter, Patricia (Ron) Hass, Sheboygan Falls; his grandchildren and great grandchildren, Thomas (Nancy) Hass and their son, Tyler of Sheboygan Falls, Jeff (Donna) Hass and their children, Kendra & Carver of Sheboygan Falls, Elizabeth (Chris) Miller and daughter, Caitlyn of Sheboygan, Tricia (Mark) Schnettler of Sheboygan Falls; three brothers, George Orth, Manitowoc, Francis (Betty) Orth, Manitowoc, John (Caroline) Orth, Wisconsin Rapids; and one sister, Marion (Paul) Skarvan, Manitowoc. He is further survived by three sisters-in-law, Rita Mae Orth, Cato, Helen Herrmann, rural Manitowoc, Catherine Burns.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, thirteen brothers, one granddaughter, Kathleen.
Burial in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Askeaton.
