Sister Grace Devine (Sister Mary Grace)

A Grey Sister of the Immaculate Conception, Pembroke, ON died in Pembroke on the 23rd day of October 2011 in the 83rd year of her Religious Life. Left to mourn are the members of her Religious Community and devoted nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents, John Angus and Ellen (Grace), her brothers, Harry, Joseph and Jack, as well as her sister, Mary O'Connor.

Sister Grace was born on December 7th, 1912 in Fitzroy Township. She entered the Community on February 13th, 1929, pronouncing final vows on August 2nd, 1934. Her ministries included St. Patrick's Home, Ottawa, caring for orphans; Assistant Mistress of Novices for twenty-two years, and in various capacities at St. Patrick's Home for a period of forty-six years.

Her final years were spent peacefully at Shalom Residence in Pembroke. Resting at the Marguerite Centre, 700 Mackay Street, on Monday, October 24th, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Evening. Prayer at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Liturgy at Marguerite Centre Chapel on Tuesday, October 26th, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. Interment St. Columba's Cemetery. Arrangements by the Neville Funeral Home, Pembroke.
