"GREEN TWP. - Services for Clyde Emerson Dent Jr., 52, of 3944 S. Arlington rd., World War II Coast Guard veteran and holder of the Bronze Star, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at East Liberty EUB Church. Burial will be in Greensburg cemetery. Mr. Dent died unexpectedly Wednesday at Akron General Hospital.
Buchtel High School graduate, he received three citations for courageous action at French Northwest Africa, Salerno and Sicily in 1944. Born in Akron, he lived his entire life in the area. He was a member of the East Liberty EUB Church and was a real estate salesman for Krueger Realty Co. in Portage Lakes. He leaves his wife, Theda E.; stepsons...father Clyde E., Akron; brother Thomas E., Waynesboro, Ga.; sisters Mrs. Betty Anderson, Portage Lakes, and Mrs. Violet Warner, Mrs. Jane Averill, Mrs. Gwendolyn Cooper, all Akron, and Mrs. Wanda Kesserling, San Francisco, Cal.
