Born Giovanni Poma in Custonaci, Trapani prov., Sicily, Italy, son of Vito & Antonina (Cipponeri) Poma. Married Giuseppa (Josephine) Sanclemente on 09 Feb 1918 at Detroit, Wayne co., Michigan, San Francisco Church.
Came to America at the age of 14.
Retired from Ford Auto Co.
He could sit and tell stories for hours...and hours, as many had no endings. Even tempered and easy going. Love the Detroit Tigers, never missing a broadcast.
Lived the last 13 years of his life in a wheelchair as the result of a stroke. His wife took care of him by herself til the end, God Bless her.
