Betty P. Black, 77, Peru, passed away at 4:15 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2005 at SR 124 and Old SR 15 in
Wabash County after an auto accident.
She was born Nov. 25, 1927 in Lafayette to Fred W. and Catherine Burton Leill. She married James F.
Black Sr. Sept. 7, 1943, and he preceded her in death March 30, 1992.
Black retired as an executive secretary of the Peru Circus City Festival after 18 years. She also was a
member of St. Charles Catholic Church, Peru.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. Charles Catholic Church, Peru.
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Peru.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, Peru
