Miss Jennie Westra, 39, daughter of Mrs. Mary Westra passed away at a local hospital at 12:15 a.m. Tuesday, August 3 following a major operation, to which she submitted last Friday.
She was born at Orange City on February 23, 1898, where she has always lived. She attended the public school. For the past 25 years she has been employed in the home of Mr. and Mrs. G.T. Hatley.
She is survived by her mother, one sister, Nell, Mrs. L.A. Dykstra, three brothers, Henry, John, and Mike all of Orange City.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 at the home and 2 o'clock at Trinity Church with the Rev. Mr. J.G. Brouwer officiating. Interment will be made in the local cemetery.
