Hirstel Daulton, 73, 1135 Clifty Road, died yesterday at his residence following a short illness.

He was born in Naomi community on May 9, 1913, the son of the late Newbern and Leora Bland Daulton. He was a farmer and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Mollie Scrimager, whom he married in Pulaski County on November 5, 1933; a son, Roy Daulton, Cincinnati, Ohio; two daughters, Ruth Hargis and Wanda Sue Sutherland, both of Somerset; two brothers, Luther Daulton, California and Ezra Daulton, Illinois, a sister, Della Vaughn, Somerset; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Earl and Talmadge Daulton; and four sisters, Arizona Thompson, Argola Daulton, Lola Dagley and Elva Merricks.

Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Lynn Shadoan officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
