Brigadier General Mario "Mike" Poletti (Retired):
General Poletti was born February 4, 1923 in Madera, CA to Eliza Poletti and Mario Poletti, Sr.

Mike served in World War II, his National Guard Company, Madera was activated on the bombing of Pearl Harbor in 1941. He served in the U.S. Army and National Guard for 33 years, retiring as Brigadier General.

He also worked for the United States Postal Service in Madera & Clovis, CA.

Mike passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the age of 90 in Fresno, CA.

Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Poletti, grandson Stan McCracken and son-in-law Gene DeWoody.

He is survived by his daughters, Jan DeWoody and Patsy Knepper and husband Nelson, his grandson Brian Knepper of Pennsylvania, four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was the brother to Olga Baratta of Richmond, CA.

Graveside Services will be held on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Arbor Vitae Cemetery, Madera.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hinds Hospice, 1616 West Shaw Avenue, Suite A-5, Fresno, CA 93711.
