Religious Figure. He was tortured in 304 A.D. by roman governor Daciano, in Valencia (Spain). His day is celebrated in January, 22, and is the patron of the city of Valencia. His story is based in legends and oral tradition. The description of his torture is very cruel (as in others lives of christian saints). First, he was in a cross in vane and later, broken his bones and opened his body and his nails with steel hooks. But, not being able to mine his resistance, was skinned and placed in a grill in live coals. He died in his prison. His supposed left arm is exposed in Cathedral of Valencia.
