DOB does not match her obituary...Mrs. Mary Matthews, 83, of Wadestown, died at her residence Tuesday night following an extended illness.
Born July 20, 1879 she was the daughter of the late David and Martha Martin Howard.
Her husband was the late Mose Matthews, who died in 1950.
She was a member of the Mt. Taber Methodist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Harry Matthews of Waynesburg, Pa. Clarence Matthews of Core, and William Matthews of El Monte, California; one daughter Mrs. Lucy McCormick, of Wadestown. 14 Grandchildren; 27 Great-grand-children; three great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Roupe, of Wadestown, Mrs. Maggie Shultz, of Blacksville, and Estella., of Brave, Pa. and one brother John Howard of Fairview.

MATTHEWS; Mrs. Mary Matthews, 83 of Wadestown died Tuesday night at her residence following an extended illness.
Friends will be received at the late residence until 1 p.m. Friday when the body will be removed to the Core Christian Church for service at 2 p.m. with the Rev William Sanders officiating.
Burial in Core Cemetery. Hunt Funeral Home in Hundred, W. Va. in charge of arrangements.
