Carlos N. Goodrich, 81, died Saturday, January 6, 1990, at his home in Riverside, Calif.

Son of the late John P. and Bertha Kanzler Goodrich, he was born February 20, 1908 in Milan, Tenn. They formerly lived in Steele, Mo.

Mr. Goodrich was preceded in death by one son, Carlos Jr., who died at birth; a daughter, Betty Goodrich Daniels, who died in 1984; one brother, Johnny Goodrich of Steele, who died in August of 1989; a sister, Ora Neil Hammonds, and one grandson, Rhondal Daniels.

Mr. and Mrs. Goodrich were married on June 23, 1929.

Mr. Goodrich lived in Steele for 23 years and ran the Steele Ice Co. for 10 years and moved to California in 1956.

He had lived in Covina, Calif. from 1957 to 1976 and was a resident of Riverside since 1976. Mr. Goodrich was retired from Ed Cliff Instruments, where he had been employed as a machinist for the past 20 years.

Mr. Goodrich leaves his wife, Hazel Davis Goodrich, of Riverside; a daughter, Linda (Mrs. John) Brantley, of Chino, Calif.; a brother, Jim Goodrich, of Medina, Tenn.; two sisters: Mary Cash and Beulah Harbin, both of Humboldt, Tenn.; one granddaughter; five grandsons; four great-granddaughters; and two sons-in-law.

He was a member of the Northside Church of Christ in Riverside.

Funeral services were held at the Oakdale Memorial Chapel in Glendale, Calif., on Wednesday, January 10, 1990, at Pastor Bill Jolly of the Church of Christ at Yucaipa, Calif., and Pastor Gill Allen of the Church of Christ in Upland, Calif., officiating.

Burial was at Oakdale Memorial Gardens in Glendale.
