Johnnie P. Goodrich, 69, died July 30, 1989, at the Mississippi County Hospital in Blytheville, Arkansas.
Son of the late John and Bertha Goodrich, he was born October 16, 1919 at Humboldt, Tenn. Besides his parents, one sister preceded him in death.
On August 15, 1942, at Caruthersville, Mo., he was united in marriage to Frances Lovins. A retired merchant, he and his wife had operated a grocery for 33 years. They had been Steele, Mo. residents since 1942.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Frances Goodrich of Steele; Three daughters: Mrs. Shirley Jones of Knoxville, Tenn., Mrs. Jerri Edge of Phoenix, Ariz.,and Mrs. Barbara Pruitt of Steele; Two sisters: Mrs. Mary Ash and Mrs. Beulah Mae Harbin, both of Humboldt; Two brothers: Carlos Goodrich of Riverside, Calif., and Jim Goodrich of Medina, Tenn.; Seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday August 1, 1989, at the John W. German Funeral Home in Steele with Rev. Gene Edwards officiating.
Burial was at Pemiscot Memorial Gardens in Caruthersville with John W. German Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were J.W. Neil, J.W. Blackwell, Lonnie Pruitt, James Ashcraft, Polkie Flood and Lowell German.
