Mrs. Harriett Hyden, 67 years old, died at her home in Tateville Friday. She spent her entire life in this State. She joined the Baptist Church early in life and was a devout member. During the last ten years she suffered greatly, being blind most of that period. She bore her suffering with rare courage. The funeral service was Saturday, the Rev. Taylor officiating. Interment was in the Tateville cemetery. Her husband preceded her in death 27 years. She is survived by three children; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters; and three brothers. The children are Mrs. C.H. Turner, Coal Creek, Tennessee, Mrs. J.T. Holloway, Danville, and Miss Alice Hyden of Tateville.

Mrs. Harriett Hyden, 67 years of age, died Friday, June 15, at her home at Tateville, after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, with Reverend Taylor officiating. Burial was in the Tateville Cemetery.

Mrs. Hyden early became affiliated with the Baptist Church and was an ardent church worker. About ten years ago she became blind and her courage in the face of her affliction aroused the admiration of all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died twenty-seven years ago. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. C.H. Turner, Coal Creek, Tennessee; Mrs. J.T. Holloway, Danville, Kentucky, and Miss Alice Hyden, of Tateville. Mrs. Hyden also leaves two sisters, three brothers and six great-grandchildren.
