ROBERT BAILEY
Robert Thomas Bailey of Tazewell died Thursday, June 25, in a Tazewell hospital following a long illness. He was a son of Mrs. Mae Hopkins Bailey of Tazewell and the late Reece G. Bailey. He was a member of the Barnes Beavers Post 7136, Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church in Tazewell. In addition to his mother, survivors include his widow, Mrs. Nell Peery Bailey; one son, Reece Gillespie Bailey of Etowah, Tenn.; three sisters, Mrs. Salley Mae Anderson of North Tazewell and Mrs. John Surface and Mrs. Louise Varney of Tazewell; and three grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Friday at Main Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Lee Olin Boye officiating. Burial followed in Maplewood Cemetery. Pallbearers: G.R.
