ABE GRIFFIN DEAD

Well Known Resident Succumbs to a Brief Illness

Mr. Abe Griffin, aged 56 years, died Wednesday evening at 7:30 o'clock, after a short illness. His home was 766 west Presbyterian avenue. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. C.R. Stout from Haigh's chapel at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon. Burial was at Springdale.

Mr. Griffin was a general handy man. He had assisted at house cleaning time in a number of homes in this city and could always be depended upon to do his work satisfactorily. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church and was well liked by all who knew him.

Surviving besides his widow, Mrs. Betty Griffin, are two daughters, Mrs. Ada Spry and Mrs. Helen Bray, and three brothers, Walter, William and George, all of this city.
