William was of Huguenot origion, and came to Nantucket with his father George Bunker. He settled on the east end of the Island. William was the son of George Bunker and Jane Elizabeth Godfrey Bunker. Married Mary Macy, daughter of Thomas Macy and Sarah Hopcott Macy on 4-11-1669. children were George b. 4-22-1671, John b.7-23-1673, Jonathan b.2-25-1675, Benjamin b. 5-28-1683
