Carl Edward McCarty, age 79 of Lowell, Arkansas passed away Friday, April 19, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Arkansas. Carl was born January 23, 1934 to Ervin and Thelma (Lunsford) McCarty at Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean War 1950-1954. Carl was in the oilfield business working for Wireline Service. He was married to Mary McCarty who preceded him in death in 1997.
He is survived by his children: Eddie McCarty of Denton, Texas, Bryan McCarty of Lowell, Arkansas and Carl McCarty of Sperry, Oklahoma; and other family and friends.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and daughter Liesel McCarty in 1979.
A Memorial Service at the A.J. Powell Cemetery is pending. Arrangements are being made with Powell Funeral Home, Hominy, Oklahoma.
