Charles Blecha, son of Joseph and Louisa Blecha was born at Humboldt, NE, June 28, 1874, and departed this life at Baker hospital, Eureka Springs, AK. August 31, 1939, at the age of 65 years 2 months and 3 days. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Joseph and Frank.
His boyhood days were spent on a farm in Nebraska and on Oct. 17, 1902 he was united in marriage to Mary Mach of Dubois, NE. To this union one daughter was born.
In 1907 he with his wife and child moved to a farm west of Narka where he resided to the time of his death.
Charles Blecha was a plain, quiet man of sterling character, a good neighbor, a kind and loving husband and father. His wife and child were always first in his thoughts.
Those left to mourn his departure are his wife and daughter, Mary; two sisters, Mrs. Michael Brzon of Republic and Mrs. J.H. Rundus of Belleville; four brothers, Edward of Belleville, August of Chester, NE., William and Adolph of Munden; besides a host of relatives and friends.
The funeral services were held at the home September 2 conducted by Dr. W. S. Smalley of the Presbyterian Church and Stanley Zakastelsky. Burial was in the (Kasha) National Cemetery south of Narka, Kansas.
