Arnold M. Wollersheim, 77, of 829 S. 25th St., Manitowoc, died Monday, April 24, 1989 at Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 2 pm at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be presided over and concelebrated by his two sons, Father Leon Wollersheim and Father David Wollersheim. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Wollersheim was born July 11, 1911, in the Town of Meeme, Manitowoc County, son of the late William and Emily Kaltenbrun Wollersheim. He married Yvonne Mauthe, November 21, 1934 at St. Andrew Catholic church, Manitowoc. The couple resided in Kiel until 1912 then coming to Manitowoc to reside. The couple celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1984. Mr. Wollersheim was employed at Hamilton Industries in Two Rivers as a Cabinetmaker, retiring in 1975. He was a member of Carpenters Joiners Local Union, Senior Citizens of Manitowoc, Holy Name Society and also was a former usher at St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Yvonne, three sons, Donald Wollersheim and Father Leon Wollersheim of Manitowoc, Father David Wollersheim of Alpine, Arizona; two daughters and a son-in-law, Mrs. Lynette Herold and Grace and Thomas Lang of Indianapolis; six grandchildren, Tim, Scott, Wendy, Connie, Jeanine and Andy; two great grandchildren, Kristal and Amber. He was preceded in death by four brothers.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral home, Manitowoc, 4 pm to 9 pm Tuesday, where a prayer service will be at 7:30 pm.
