He married Hannah Locke 17 Jan 1781 in Groton, MA.
Philip was probably a soldier in the American Revolution, serving in Capt. Joshua Parker's Company Mass. Troops, Col. Robinson, in July 5, 1777 and January 1, 1778. Soon after marriage he settled at Groton, Mass., where he removed in 1794 to Sullivan, New Hampshire, where he lived as a farmer highly esteemed and honored, until his death at age 92.
