Hazel Dean Gothard, 90, of Stockton, Missouri, passed away Friday, December 20, 2013.
She was born March 23, 1923, at Bear Creek, Missouri. she was the daughter of the late Jesse Harper and Vera Harper. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-four years, Rev. Ralph Gothard, her sister, Helen Gothard, and her brother, R.J. Harper and daughter-in-law, Alanda Gothard.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Branstetter of Blue Springs, Missouri, one son, Don Gothard of Eldon, Missouri, one brother, Ben Harper of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, five granddaughters and ten great grandchildren.
Dean spent the majority of her adult life as a pastor's wife and full-time mother. She was a beautiful example and a witness for Christ, but also loved and accepted her mission as a great grandmother, always putting others ahead of herself. She loved her family and spent endless hours praying for each one of them. Dean will be greatly missed by her family and everyone whose life she personally touched.
Services will be December 27, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Stockton Assembly of God Church. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time. Burial will be in Stockton Cemetery.
