MRS. CHANDLER DEAD

Native of Carrollton, Kentucky Dies at Her Home Here

Mrs. Bettie Chandler, 70, wife of Louis Chandler, died at 12:15 p.m. today at her home, 736 west Third street, of a heart attack. She became suddenly ill early Monday morning when tricken with a heart ailment, but appeared to be recovering until 5 a.m. today when she suffered a second attach.

She was born in Carrollton, Ky., when she spent most of her life. The family came to Madison about ten years ago. A member of the Baptist church, she had been a faithful attendant since childhood.

Surviving besides her husband, are six children, 26 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The children are: Robert, at Ghent, Ky.; Mrs. Beulah Romaine, Vevay; Mrs. William Robinson, Campbellsburg, Ky.; Mrs. Elvessa King, city, and Mrs. Chlorine Negley, who lived with her mother. She leaves also a brother, Luther Easterday, at Carrollton.

Friends may call at the home of her daughter, Mrs. King, at 726 west Third street, tomorrow night.
