Marie made a profession of faith at an early age and was a member of Morgan Baptist Church.
On June 28, 1946 she was united in marriage with the love of her life Junior Calton, and to this union was born three children, all whom survive.
Marie is survived by one daughter, Judy Shockley and her husband Ronnie of Niangua, Missouri; two sons, Darrell and his wife Janie, and George and his wife Sandy, all of Lebanon, Missouri. one sister Hettie Gardner of Palm Beach, Florida; also surviving are nine grandchildren.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband in 1975, her parents, one great-granddaughter, Taylor Shockley, four brothers, Marion and Joe Letterman, and two that died in infancy, Russell and Ralph; and three sisters, LaVeta Weeks, Lela Hicks and Gwendolyn Letterman.
Marie, was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and caring neighbor and friend. Her memory will be cherished by all who had the joy of knowing Ms. Marie, Our loss is surely Heavens gain.
