Lewis C. Starbuck, 95, of 1151 E. Ninth St., died at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Salem Convalescent Center where he had been a patient for two years.
Born March 5, 1885 in Colerain, Ohio, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Sara Millhouse Starbuck. He was retired in 1956 from the Starbuck Brothers Heating Company where he was employed as a tinner. He was also a retired farmer, a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, and a life member of Goshen Grange.
His first wife, Myrtle Ferguson Starbuck died Sept. 5, 1957 and his second wife Jennie Hoch Starbuck, died Sept. 18, 1976.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Albert (Lena) Althouse, Mrs. Wade (Sara) Schaefer and Mrs. Ernest (Helen) Moser, all of Salem; Mrs. George (Margaret) McConnell of Mount Vernon, Ohio and Mrs. Claude (Edith) Berger of Beloit; two sons, Harry Starbuck of Leesburg, Fla., and Ray Starbuck of Salem; a stepdaughter, Miss Evelyn Hoch of Salem; a stepson, William Hoch of Columbus; a half-brother, Jesse Starbuck of Salem; two half-sisters, Mrs. Martha Hall of Indiana and Miss Mary Starbuck of Salem; 26 grandchildren and 59 great-grandchildren.
