"Mrs. Elsie S. Banes, 80, of 5015 N.E. 45th, died Tuesday at North Kansas City Memorial Hospital. She was born in California, Mo., and lived here most of her life. Mrs. Banes was a member of the California, Mo., Baptist Church. She leaves her husband, Virgil Banes of the home; two sons, Stanley Banes of 3808 N. Spruce, and Leroy Banes of 3007 N.E. 56th Terrace; a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Pirtle of 4519 N. Oakley; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Kindrick of Harrisonville; 10 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
