Robert had served 10 years and 2 months in the Active Army, when he was medically discharged in 1963. He served during WWII and the Korea War, (But not in the war zone). His assignment included Germany, Hawaii, and Fort Devens Massachusetts. He first served as a Military Policeman, then in the Infantry, and finally as a Medical social worker. After he left the Military he had a number of different jobs, to include working as the maintenance man of the Old Mill Restaurant in Westminster Massachusetts, A rug maker at Jean-Allen Rugs in Lowell Massachusetts and his most recent position as a maintenance man for Peters Auto sales on Amherst Street in Nashua New Hampshire. At the time of his death, he was a life member, and the Commander of Chapter 7 Disabled American Veterans in Nashua New Hampshire.
He is survived by his first wife, Constance Ella Couture of Clear Water, Florida and their 6 children, Jacqueline Ella Nutt, & Charlotte Agnes Minnelli, of Clearwater Florida, Robert Russell & James Norman of St Albans Vermont, Walter Frances of Clearwater Florida, and Richard Arthur of Fayetteville North Carolina, his fourth wife, Jeannette C.(Bourdon) Brothers of Nashua NH, his brother Phillip Brothers of Burlington Vermont, and his sisters Joyce, Elizabeth Ann, and Joan. In addition he is survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
