Abigail Deaver was born August 21, 1841, in Washington Township, Belmont County, Ohio, the daughter of Lewis Jackson Deaver and Elizabeth Reed/Read Deaver. She was married twice. On December 7, 1862, in Brown County, Indiana, she married William Henry Freese, son of John and Nancy Jane McFarland Freese. They were the parents of 6 children: John Calvin, Nancy Elizabeth, Ruey Ann, Mary Catherine, Cora Belle and William Freese. William Henry Freese passed away October 30, 1895, and on September 3, 1899, in Brown County, Abigail married 2nd to James King. She passed away February 13, 1912, in Van Buren Township, Brown County, Indiana, and was buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery there.
