Funeral services for Emma Chudej Sykora, age 90, of Richmond, will be held on Monday, November 27, 1995, at 3 p.m. at the Chapel of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Richmond, with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Father Eric Pitre and Father Henry Rachunek will officiate at the services. A rosary service was held on Sunday, November 26, at 7 p.m. at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
She was born on July 31, 1905 in Hallettsville, and she passed away on November 25, 1995 in Richmond. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the American Legion.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cyrill Jerome Sykora in 1969; a son, Daniel Sykora; a daughter, Virginia Bohacek and her husband, Bill; a grandson, Jett Sykora; her parents, John and Sophia Chudej; and sons-in-law, Simon Fajkus and Arnold Lindemann.
She is survived by her daughters, Janet Fajkus of Rosenberg, Marzline Walzel and her husband, Edward, of Beasley, and Georgianne Lindemann of Needville; sons, Alvin Sykora and his wife, Judith, of Rosenberg, Johnny Sykora and his wife, Barbara, of Richmond, and Larry Sykora and his wife, Shirley, of Beasley; sisters, Willie Mae Pruess of Guy, Georgia Sbrusch and her husband, Bill, of Beasley, Henrietta Dobesh of Beasley, Sylvia Matheaus of Beasley, and Irene Raska and her husband, Bill, of Wallis; a sister-in-law, Florence Chudej of Wallis; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Carroll Fajkus, Darrell Lindemann, Dale Lindemann, Chris Sykora, Donald Bradford, and Allen Seiler.
