He graduated from Austin High School, and went on to earn a bachelors and masters degree in accounting from Rice University, followed by a law degree from the University of Texas. Bill was a licensed CPA and attorney, and the President and owner of Long Horn Meat Co.
He was highly regarded and well liked by the community and business associates. He was a lover of knowledge, an avid story teller, and well-traveled. Bill was always willing to help a friend or loved one in need. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving family; wife Teresa, children Elizabeth Fletcher and Mathew Adams, his sisters Cynthia Leach-Ruiz and Janet Leach, his brother Garland Shelton, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation and memorial service will be at Austin-Peel and Son Funeral Home.
