Daniel A. Smith, of 259 N. Third St., Columbia, a retired ITT Grinnell Corp. employee, was pronounced dead on arrival at Columbia Hospital Sunday at 11:15 a.m.
He was the husband of the late Stella Leas Smith and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Born in Columbia , he was a son of the late Simon and Christiana Weber Smith.
Surviving are two daughters, Christina Fair, with whom he resided and Lillie Mae, wife of Lawrence Beers, Harrisburg and six grandchildren.
