SUBLIMITY - Perry, 90, died Saturday, May 11 in Sublimity. He was born in Glendo, WY. Perry moved to Aumsville in 1982 from California and to Sublimity in 2007. He served in the US Navy during WWII. Perry worked as a construction supervisor for the state of California division of Forestry for 33 years. He was a member of Willamette Valley Baptist Church in Aumsville. Perry enjoyed square dancing, bowling, fishing, hunting, playing pinochle and chess. He married Ione Sprague on June 28, 1951 in Forrestville, CA. Perry is survived by his wife: Ione of Sublimity; brothers: Kenneth Hershberger of Sandy, and Gene Hershberger of Santa Maria, CA. He was preceded in death by a son, Gary Hershberger in 2002, 6 brothers and 1 sister. A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 20, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Lone Oak Cemetery in Stayton. Reception following at the church. A special thanks to all the caregivers, Picksey, Roxy, Jesica, Mary, Pam, Nicole, Sahara and Fawn. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Marian Estates Auxilary, Willamette Valley Baptist Church or Willamette Valley Hospice. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
