Ashby, Olen L. - funeral services were conducted in the Memorial Chapel at Greenlawn Mortuary today for Olen L. Ashby, 72, 325 West Warren, who died May 23 in a Bakersfield hospital. The Rev. George A. Wood officiated. Interment was in the Garden of Memory section at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Ashby, a native of Texas, had resided in California for 21 years and Kern County 20 years. He was an oilfield worker for 28 years. Survivors include his widow, Mary E. Ashby; a son J. R. Ashby of Oildale; four sisters, Nova Baumann of San Jose, Omer White of Texas, Faye Howell of Arizona and Audie Johnston of Oildale and a grandchild, John Richard Ashby of Oildale.
