Genevieve "BB" Alderete, age 85, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013.
Genevieve was a great cook and enjoyed going to the casino. Genevieve will be greatly missed.
Genevieve was preceded in death by her husband, Neddy Alderete, children, Bernadette Alderete McKissick, Danny Alderete and Juan Alderete, grandson, Christopher McKissick and many other beloved relatives.
Genevieve is survived by her children, Helen Gallegos, David Alderete, Neddy Alderete Jr. and his wife, Theresa, Kathie Parras and her husband, Michael and special son and friend, Rick Moya, 17 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, brothers, Charlie Ramírez and Georgie Ramírez and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Church of the Ascension, 2150 Raymac Rd., SW, beginning with a viewing on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 6:30 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., led by the Legion of Mary. A final visitation will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow services at Pajarito Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Phillip Gallegos, Steven Alderete, Rick Moya, Orlando Alderete, Salomon Alderete and Johnny Alderete. Honorary pallbearers will be Antone Parras, Michael Gallegos, Eric Alderete, Michael Parras, Jr. and Daniel Alderete.
