Floyd was born into the family of 6 sons and 2 daughters of Sophet Franklin Farner, born in Rümlang, Zurich, Switzerland, and Louisa NEITER Farner, of O'Neil,NE.
After WWI he worked in sales, and in 1919 he married Ethel Leona LUND, daughter of Lars and Anna MARTENSON Lund. Born to this union were a daughter and two sons.
After his retirement as a sales manager for Liggett and Myers Tobacco Co., the couple moved from Omaha to Norfolk, NE. On Aug. 16, 1969, they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their three children, 9 grandchildren, and many friends and family members.
Funeral services were held at the 1st United Methodist Church, Norfolk, with the Rev. J. Graydon Wilson officiating.
