He was born Feb. 26, 1919, the son of Frank and Grace Millerd. His wife, Barbara, died in 2004.
Mr. Millerd graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1937. He was a U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in World War II and the Korean War. He owned Mars Hill Tax Service.
Survivors: three sons, Frank Millerd II of Tucson, Ariz., Phillip A. Millerd of Albany, Ga., and Seth N. Millerd of Acworth; five daughters, Shelia Hills of Oren, Utah, Sandra Wilhelm of Missouri, Catherine Willes of Powder Springs, Ga., Naomi Claggett of Austin, Texas, and Rebecca DePrez of Falls Church, Va.; 25 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services: 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oak Grove Cemetery, Hillsboro, Bishop John Cloyd officiating.
