A lifetime resident of the area, she was born June 17, 1916, in Pulaski County, the daughter of Walter and Katherine Friedl Doty. She married Feb. 7, 1934, in Royal Center to Willard C. Archer, who survives.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Community Baptist Church and a charter member of the Eagles Lodge No 2580 Women's Auxiliary. She was also an avid Bingo player.
Surviving with the husband are one daughter, Jean Nicholson, Winamac; one sister Florence Perkins, Lafayette; two brothers, Fran and Bill Doty, both of Winamac; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Rev. Joseph Willis officiated at the services and burial was in the Winamac Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
