Funeral services for Ms. Marion Milling will be held Wednesday at 11:00 from the Chapel of Milling Funeral Home in Union with burial in Union City Cemetery. Dr. Jon Martin will officiate.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00- 8:00 at Milling Funeral Home in Union.
Mrs. Marion Morrow Milling, age 91, of Union MS, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 19, 2013, at the Baptist Hospital in Jackson.
Mrs. Milling was born on July 19, 1921, in Sebastopol, MS, to the late Vitus and Alice Morrow. She was a graduate of Sebastopol High School and then moved to Memphis, TN, for several years during WWII where she worked at Fisher Air Craft. She then married the love of her life, Bernard Milling. They were stationed at Camp Campbell, Kentucky, during part of the War and later made their home in Union, Ms, where they raised their two daughters.
For over 65 years, Mrs. Milling was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Union. For several years she was actively involved in church activities and programs, and taught children's Sunday School. Later she became a member of the Jessie Lewis Sunday School Class.
Mamaw, as she was lovingly called, will be remembered as a devoted Christian wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vitus and Alice Morrow; her beloved husband of 62 years, Bernard Milling; grandson, Robin Travis; sister, Ruby Barrett; and brothers Charles Morrow and D.W.Morrow.
She is survived by her daughters Ophelia Agent and husband Rudolph of Madison, MS and Betty Travis and husband Ray of Rosedale, MS; three grandchildren, Chad Travis and wife Jill of Olive Branch, MS, Emily Agent of Madison, MS, and Amy Boyles and husband Doug of Hernando, MS; six precious great-grandchildren, Anna Grace, Aiden, and Aspen Travis of Olive Branch, MS, and Carter, Loxley, and Bruin Boyles of Hernando, MS; sister, Margie Green of Ridgeland, MS; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers: Charles D Morrow, Bennie Green, Gary Windham, Andy Gardner, Mike Staton and James Cockerham.
