YORK Alverta M. (Ness) Hetrick, 86 , died Monday, August 30, 2004 at York County Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Friday in the chapel of York County Nursing Home, 118 Pleasant Acres Rd., York, with the Rev. Ray Hatcher officiating. Burial will be in Salem Union Cemetery, Jacobus. A viewing will be 6 to 7 p.m. Friday in the nursing home chapel. The John W. Keffer Funeral Home, Inc., 902 Mt Rose Ave., York, is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Hetrick was born September 30, 1917 in Springfield Township, York County, a daughter of the late Albert S. and Ida (Stiegler) Ness.
Alverta retired from the York Plant of the National Biscuit Company.
Prior to her stay at the York County Nursing Home she was a resident of the Barley Autumn House, E. Market Street, York, Pa.
Mrs. Hetrick is survived by a half brother, Perry Ness of Jacobus and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers Harry, Paul and Ralph Ness, and sisters Mary Damms and Grace Bailey. Memorial contributions may be made to Salem Union Church 99 York Road, Jacobus, PA 17407.
