Delores was a fun person and knew how to make you laugh even if you did not want to. She worked at a Braxton County Radio Station and ended her work career as a journalist for a local Alamogordo newspaper.
The thing she missed the most about West Virginia was the Autumn season. At her funeral service we made sure there were lots of fall leaves and each year two of her friends put them on her grave at Memorial Day.
On the death of her sister, Carolyn Heater Blanton , Delores' children brought her ashes back to West Virginia and placed them in Carolyn's casket. They were close in life and sleep together eternally.
