KWESASNE — Jake Lazore, 83, died at the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Cornwall on Monday, April 15, 1985. Jake was born Feb 2, 1902, the son of Christie Peters and Martin Lazore. He was married to Bessie Hubert who predeceased him in 1983 One sister Harriet also predeceased him. Jake is survived by three sons, Ralph and John of Utica, and Gary of Florida. Four daughters, Betty Arquette of Hogansburg, Hilda Lazore of Westville, Roma Radischi of Florida and Joan Lazore of Florida. Two brothers, Abe and Bazil both of St. Regis and two sisters Margaret Ransom of Hogansburg and Louise of Utica. Fifteen grand children and seven great grandchildren. Jake 'Sunshine' Lazore spent his life time as a lumberjack and fisherman. His wake was held at the home of his brother Abe in the Village of St. Regis. The funeral services were held Friday morning April 19th at 10 a.m. at the St. Regis Catholic Church. Burial was at the St. Lawrence cemetary, St. Regis.
