DIES OF PARALYSIS

Former Resident of Ghent, Dies at His Home in This City

Mr. Addison Burchfield, 64, a former resdient of Ghent, Ky., died at his home, 953 Walnut street, yesterday at 2:40 p.m. of paralysis. He had been ill for two years.

Mr. Burchfield was born in Switzerland county, but had spent most of his life of a farm near Ghent, Ky., having come to Madison about a year ago.

Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Pearl Webster Burchfield, and eight children, Mrs. Anna May Rhudy and Mrs. Edith Goins, of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Elizabeth Goins, Mrs. Joseph(ine) Adams, Mrs. Alice Long and Misses Evelyn and Mabel Burchfield, all of this city. A son, Floyd Allen Burchfield, is taking naval training at Carry Field, Fla.

He leaves also four brothers and two sisters, John Burchfield and Mrs. Jeanette Willie, of this city; Russell and Frank Burchfield, of Deputy, and Leonard Burchfield and Mrs. Lula Craig of Arkansas. There are 12 grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Burchfield residence on Walnut street.

Funeral services will be held at Haigh's Wednesday afternoon.
